How do I create an account?

Open the sign-in page and choose “Sign up with email” — you'll pick a name, email address and password. We send a verification link to that address; click it before your first sign-in. You can also start directly with Google if you prefer not to manage a password.

Can I sign in with Google?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Use “Continue with Google” on the sign-in page and pick the account you want to use. If your email address is already registered with a password, sign in with the password instead and contact support to link Google to your existing account.

Why does Google sign-in open my browser when I'm in the X app?

Accepted Answer

Apps like X, Facebook and Instagram open links in a built-in mini browser. Google blocks sign-ins inside these embedded browsers, and cookies don't reliably carry over the redirect back from Google — so a sign-in started there can fail or appear to be interrupted. calsync detects this and hands the sign-in to your device's default browser (Safari or Chrome) instead. Complete the sign-in there; your session continues in that browser.

I forgot my password — how do I reset it?

Go to the forgot-password page and enter your account email. You'll receive a reset link shortly. If the link has expired by the time you use it, request a new one from the same page.

I didn't receive my verification or reset email

Check your spam or junk folder first, and make sure the address you entered is spelled correctly. Corporate mail filters sometimes hold automated messages — allow email from calsync.cc if you can. Still nothing after a few minutes? Email support@calsync.cc from the address you signed up with and we'll sort it out.

How do I delete my account?

Open Settings in your dashboard and use the delete-account option. This permanently removes your account, calendars, feeds and subscription history — it cannot be undone. Any active paid subscription is canceled as part of the deletion, so you won't be billed again.

How do people subscribe to my calendar?

Share your calendar's public page link. Visitors tap “Add to calendar” and land straight in Apple Calendar, Google Calendar or Outlook with the subscription ready to confirm. Power users can copy the raw ICS (webcal) URL and paste it into any calendar app that supports subscribing by URL.

I updated an event, but subscribers haven't received it

calsync rebuilds the feed the moment you publish, but Apple, Google and Outlook fetch subscription feeds on their own schedule — typically every few hours, and sometimes less often for feeds that change rarely. A subscriber can force a refresh by pulling down on the calendar view (or removing and re-adding the subscription) if it's urgent. If more than a day has passed with no update reaching subscribers, contact support with your calendar link and we'll investigate.

What's the difference between public and private calendars?

Public calendars show up on their own page with a subscriber count and can be discovered by anyone. Private calendars are unlisted — only people you send the link to can open them. Both types work identically once subscribed.

I subscribed in Apple Calendar but get no reminders

Accepted Answer

Apple Calendar hides reminders on subscribed calendars by default. On iPhone or iPad open Settings → Apps → Calendar → Accounts, tap the subscribed calendar and turn off “Remove Alerts”. On Mac open Calendar → Settings → Accounts, select the account and uncheck “Remove alerts”. After that, the 24-hour, 1-hour and 15-minute reminders fire normally. The same setting exists for Google and Outlook feeds, so if reminders are missing on another app, check for an “alerts” or “notifications” option on the subscription itself.

Which calendar apps work with calsync?

Anything that can subscribe to an ICS feed by URL: Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook (desktop, web and mobile), Samsung Calendar, Thunderbird and most other standards-compliant apps.

What is Google Calendar sync?

When you subscribe with your Google account, calsync doesn't just hand you a read-only feed — we keep a synced copy of the events in your Google Calendar and push updates to it automatically. When the organizer changes a time or location, the change appears in your Google Calendar without you re-importing anything.

How do I connect or disconnect my Google account?

Connect: on the calendar's subscribe page, choose Google and approve the requested calendar permissions. Disconnect: open the subscription management page (linked from your emails and the dashboard) and use “Disconnect Google sync”. This stops future pushes and removes the synced copy from your Google Calendar — your other calendars are untouched.

Events stopped appearing in my Google Calendar

Google authorizations occasionally expire or get revoked, which pauses the push. Open the subscription management page, disconnect Google sync and reconnect it — the synced copy catches up immediately. Also check that you haven't deleted the synced calendar inside Google Calendar itself. If events still don't arrive after reconnecting, email support@calsync.cc with the calendar link and the Google account email you used.

There's a Free plan for getting started. Creator is $5/month and includes 10,000 API requests ($0.50 per 1,000 overage). Pro is $40/month and includes 100,000 API requests ($0.40 per 1,000 overage). The pricing section on the homepage details what each plan includes.

How does usage billing work?

Accepted Answer

Usage is counted in API requests per billing period — this includes feed fetches, API calls and sync traffic. Each plan's included allowance resets at the start of every billing period; requests beyond it are billed at your plan's overage rate. Your dashboard shows current usage against the allowance at any time.

Which payment methods can I use?

Payments are processed securely by Flutterwave and accept major debit/credit cards as well as supported local payment methods such as mobile money. Subscriptions bill monthly until you cancel.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Accepted Answer

Open Billing in your dashboard and choose to cancel. You keep full access to your paid plan until the end of the current billing period — after that your workspace reverts to the Free plan automatically and no further charges are made. Refunds are considered at calsync's sole discretion; request one by emailing support@calsync.cc with your account details.

How do I authenticate API requests?

Create an API key in the dashboard under Developers → API keys, then send it with every request as an Authorization header: Authorization: Bearer <your-key>. Keep keys secret — treat them like passwords and rotate them if one leaks.

Are there rate limits?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Requests that exceed your plan's limits receive a 429 response with a Retry-After header — wait for the interval it specifies before retrying. Sustained overage instead counts toward your plan's usage billing rather than being blocked outright.

What is the MCP server?

The Model Context Protocol server at /api/mcp lets AI clients such as Claude and Cursor work with calsync directly — creating calendars, posting events and reading subscriber stats through structured tools.
